TrustMark
With the prevalence of rogue traders and cowboy builders around, having accreditation from an independent industry body has become more and more important. That’s why TrustMark are so revered within the trades. A government-endorsed, non-profit organisation, the trust allows consumers to search nationwide for an approved trader, whether a plumber, electrician or builder, giving them the peace of mind that whichever company they select will have met a number of strict assessment criteria.
These quality control marks include checks on technical skills, trading records, financial status, all working practices, insurance details, health and safety history and more, and the TrustMark scheme is cited by the building industry as an indicator of reliability.

Safecontractor
Across all of the trades, one of the major concerns for both customer and company is whether correct health and safety procedures are being followed. This is where Safecontractor comes in. A health and safety pre-qualification assessment scheme, Safecontractor began life as the personal project of a property management company that wished to create a list of trusted contractors they’d used in the past. The scheme now has over 20,000 contractors as members that work across a wide range of sectors, from construction to healthcare; education to retail.
The process of gaining Safecontractor accreditation is rigorous enough to give all customers the assurance that they are opting for a well-run, safe company if they have this mark, with strict assessment throughout.
Constructionline
Constructionline provides a two-way service that benefits both suppliers and buyers, connecting one with the other using reputable reviews and certifications.
Calling on the UK’s largest database of such information, Constructionline allow buyers to track down suppliers that have been fully vetted, while suppliers are able to avoid having to fill in pre-qualification forms for each construction tender.
Not only does this provide convenience for all involved, it also gives assurances that both sides of the tender are dealing with trustworthy and reliable companies and individuals.
